Tickets to last ever QED are now on sale. Our weekend celebration of science, reason and critical thinking, returns for the final time in October 2025 with our usual thrilling mix of main stage speakers, live podcast recordings, panel discussions, interactive workshops, and more.
QED 2025 will take place on 25th-26th October at Manchester’s Mercure Piccadilly Hotel, with a free SkeptiCamp event on Friday 24th October.
The QED 2025 schedule will include:
- Annie Kelly: journalist, researcher and UK correspondent for QAA Podcast, specialising in digital antifeminism, conspiracy theories and the far right.
- Michael Marshall: professional skeptical investigator, public speaker, podcaster, and editor of The Skeptic magazine
- Anna Ploszajski: an award-winning materials scientist, writer, presenter, comedian, trainer, storyteller, and author of Handmade: A Scientist’s Search for Meaning Through Making
- Naomi Ryan: a criminal and public law barrister and public speaker on macabre events in legal history, and the intersection of the law and the paranormal
- Policy Engagement workshop: Dr Jamie Gallagher will explain what MPs have the ability to do, how laws are made, how parliament functions, and how you can influence those discussions and decisions.
- Live podcast recordings, panel discussions, and more interactive workshops
- And much more, still to be announced.
Plus, MC-ing our final event will be the hugely-popular Robin Ince - multi award winning comedian, author, broadcaster, bibliomaniac and populariser of scientific ideas, who co-created Cosmic Shambles and The Infinite Monkey Cage.
Early bird tickets are now available, costing £179 for the full weekend - including access to all event spaces across the weekend, and our Saturday night entertainment. Early bird prices are available until 1st September 2025, after which tickets will be available at the full price of £195.
We will once again have a full on-site creche facility available for free to parents who wish to use it, simply buy your own QED ticket, and then send an email to childcare@qedcon.org with your name, and the name of the child or children you want to register.
