Question, Explore, Discover.
QED is a two-day science and skepticism convention taking place at the Mercure Piccadilly Hotel in Manchester from the 29th-30th October 2022.
Fantastic speakers from the worlds of science and entertainment will be joining us for a weekend celebration of science, reason and critical thinking.
We aim to be an inclusive event, welcoming attendees from all backgrounds, ethnicities, and genders.
Latest Update
One of the best things about attending QED is the social side – from chatting and hanging out in the bar and social spaces, to sharing thoughts digitally with other attendees during talks and panels. This year we’ve partnered with our good friends at Skeptics in the Pub Online, who have created a number of QED spaces in their highly-active Discord server, so if you get chatting to someone at QED you’ll be able to continue the conversation when the weekend is over.

SkeptiCamp Manchester 2022
Also returning is the free SkeptiCamp event as part of QED weekend. At
SkeptiCamp, the attendees are responsible for the creation and delivery
of the dayʼs content, and anyone is eligible to present a talk. You
donʼt need to be a published author, famous podcaster or professional
communicator to get involved. SkeptiCamp Manchester 2022 takes place on
Friday 28th October, is completely free, and this year
is being organised by our good friends at Skeptics in the Pub Online.
Information on the final line-up for SkeptiCamp 2022 is available now at sitp.online/skepticamp/schedule.
