QED is a two-day science and skepticism convention taking place at the Mercure Piccadilly Hotel in Manchester from the 23rd-24th September 2023.
Fantastic speakers from the worlds of science and entertainment will be joining us for a weekend celebration of science, reason and critical thinking.
We aim to be an inclusive event, welcoming attendees from all backgrounds, ethnicities, and genders.
Latest Update
We are delighted to announce the two further additions to the QED main stage: alcohol researcher Colin Angus and aerospace engineer and impossible baker Andrew Smyth.
Guests include
SkeptiCamp 2023
Also returning is the free SkeptiCamp event as part of QED
weekend. At SkeptiCamp, the attendees are responsible for the
creation and delivery of the dayʼs content, and anyone is
eligible to present a talk. You donʼt need to be a published
author, famous podcaster or professional communicator to get
involved. SkeptiCamp Manchester 2023 takes place on
Friday 22nd September, is completely free, and
this year is being organised by
our good friends at Skeptics in the Pub Online.
About QED
QED is organised by North West Skeptical Events Ltd, a volunteer-owned, non-profit organisation. Each year we aim for QED to break even, spending all funds raised by ticket sales on creating the best event possible. Any surplus is reinvested in future events or donated to good causes.
