Tickets to the final QED on sale from May 6th, 2025

All good things must come to an end, and after fifteen years of running the UK’s largest celebration of science, reason and critical thinking, 2025 will see the final QED conference.

From leading a homeopathic ‘overdose’ in 2010, to running four simultaneous programmes of skeptical content in our most recent years - via teatowel chickens and unexpected fire alarms - QED has been the source of a great many fond memories for our community. As organisers of QED, it has been our pleasure and our privilege to share in those memories.

And while the curtain may be coming down, we hope you’ll join us one last time as we take over the Mercure Manchester Piccadilly Hotel for the weekend of October 25th-26th, with a free Skepticamp event on Friday 24th October.

Tickets for the final QED will go on sale from 3pm UK time on May 6th, 2025.

Early-bird tickets will cost £179 for a full weekend ticket, and the early-bird rate will last until 1st September 2025, after which the full ticket price will be £195. As ever, each ticket will grant attendees full access to all content across the weekend, and we will once again have a full on-site creche facility available for free to parents who wish to use it.

Meanwhile, online streaming tickets will bring QED to those who can’t make it, costing £49 for access to all sessions on the main stage and in the panel room and podcast room.

Since our initial plans in 2009, QED has been run by a team of volunteers from across the skeptical community of the North West, with each of us spending countless hundreds of hours of our own time making QED the best event it can possibly be. This year will be no different, and we intend for the final QED to be our usual high-quality blend of speakers, panel discussions, a lively podcast room, a hands-on workshop room, our evening of entertainment and the Ockham Awards presentation from The Skeptic magazine.
