QED schedule released!

The wait is almost over… there’s only one week to go until QED 2022! To help you plan your QED weekend, the full schedule is now released.

QED weekend will begin on Friday, with Skepticamp, starting at 11am. It’s a one-day completely-free conference of short skeptical-themed talks, which anyone is able to attend. Following Skepticamp, there will be a trivia quiz, hosted by Heath Enwright, starting from 6pm, while attendees who aren’t looking to have their general knowledge tested can gather and mingle in the hotel bar for our Friday night mixer. Early registration will be available during the mixer so you can pick up your badge too.

Registration for QED will open at 8am, and the conference will open at 9am sharp, with opening remarks from conference MC, Paul Duncan McGarrity. Check out the full schedule now, and start wrestling with those tricky decisions as to what you’ll see and when.

And for those who are arriving into Manchester on Thursday, our friends at the Greater Manchester Skeptics Society will be kicking off the weekend with a pre-QED fringe event, where Canadian science communicator and award-winning podcaster Jonathan Jarry will give a talk on pushing back effectively against misinformation. The event takes place at The King’s Arms, Salford, Manchester, starting at 7.30pm, and will doubtless be packed with QED attendees. Details can be found on the Greater Manchester Skeptics Society website. There are still a handful of QED tickets left, although time is running out! And for all of you who have tickets already, we can’t wait to see you next weekend!
