Last year, we experimented with a Slack team for QED attendees, and many of you told us you found it to be a great way to socialise, self-organise, and communicate with other QED attendees.

Slack is a real-time messaging and team collaboration tool. It was initially designed to allow software teams within a company to collaborate, but it has become increasingly popular at conferences.

So we are bringing Slack back for 2017. It is free to join (and optional, of course), and if you registered for Slack at last year's event, you can log in and start chatting now. If you're new to QED, or you didn't register last year but want to this year, you can sign up by requesting an invitation at

Once you’ve signed up through your browser, you can download Slack for iOS and Android through their respective App Stores, or you can just use your web browser by visiting

If you do use Slack over the event, make sure you let us know how it worked for you in this year’s attendee survey.

See you at the weekend!
