Terms and Conditions for Registrants

PAYMENTS & CONFIRMATION OF BOOKING

All payments must be in pounds sterling.

Once we have received details of your paid booking, we will send you an email confirmation.

If you have not received confirmation of your booking within 14 working days of the conference date, please contact tickets@qedcon.org.

North West Skeptical Events Ltd does not accept responsibility for the non-arrival of information.

CANCELLATIONS & CHANGES TO BOOKINGS

All cancellations must be made in writing to tickets@qedcon.org.

Cancellations made before 1st March 2013 will receive a full refund, less £25.00 administration fee.

Cancellations made between 1st March 2013 and 31st March 2013 will receive a 50% refund.

The organisers regret that no cancellations are acceptable from 1st April 2013 onwards, and therefore no refunds are payable from this date.

Substitutions may be accepted, at the organisers' discretion, if notified in writing prior to 8th April 2013.

Whilst the programme is correct at the time of going to press, North West Skeptical Events Ltd reserves the right to make changes to the programme, location and/or speakers without prior notice.  Such alterations may occasionally be necessary due to circumstances beyond our control.

Where circumstances force cancellation of the conference in its entirety, North West Skeptical Events Ltd will make every effort to refund as much of the conference fee to each paying attendee as possible, having regard for any irrecoverable costs of production for which North West Skeptical Events Ltd remains liable.  North West Skeptical Events Ltd is not liable for any consequential loss suffered by the attendee.

LIABILITY

In any dispute the extent liability of North West Skeptical Events Ltd is limited to the price of your ticket.

SPEAKERS

Views expressed by speakers are their own.  North West Skeptical Events Ltd disclaim any liability for advice given, or views expressed, by any speaker at the event or in any documentation provided to attendees.

FILMING & PHOTOGRAPHY

Please note that for promotional purposes, there may be a professional photographer and video production taking place during the event.

Attendees are not permitted to make commercial use of any video or audio made during the event.

ACCOMMODATION & FOOD

Overnight accommodation and refreshments are not included in the registration fee.  If overnight accomodation is required, you must make your own arrangements.

RIGHT OF ADMISSION REFUSAL

North West Skeptical Events Ltd reserves the right to refuse admission, or rescind admission to the event to any attendee whose continued presence represents a real or perceived threat to the smooth running of the event or the security and comfort of other attendees, guest speakers, event staff or hotel staff.  Any anti-social behaviour can be referred to designated members of staff who will deal with the issue in confidence.  Anti-social behaviour will not be tolerated and will result in ejection from the venue without refund.

DATA PROTECTION & PRIVACY

This privacy policy applies to any information acquired by and/or provided to North West Skeptical Events Ltd including but not limited to: information provided through use of the website; information provided during the course of orders, transactions and bookings; information provided through enquiries or by the completion of any request and or invitation for information.  North West Skeptical Events Ltd may gather information about you when you use our website.

North West Skeptical Events Ltd recognises that your privacy is important to you.  The information you submit to North west Skeptical Events Ltd, and the QED conference will be kept confidential and secure once received.  The information will be processed by North West Skeptical Events Ltd or on its behalf under strictly regulated conditions in accordance with the provisions of the Data Protection Act 1998.

By registering for this conference and disclosing personal information to North west Skeptical Events Ltd you consent to the collection, storage and processing of information in the manner described in this policy.

North West Skeptical Events Ltd will only disclose this information in the following circumstances:

1. where your consent has been obtained;
2. where there is a legal obligation;
3. where there is a public duty; and
4. in connection with the assignment or transfer of all or any of its rights and obligations to any of its group companies or to any other third party.
